"..Some have a few more fuzzy channels than others."

Hey fam,

How is everybody doing? Ok so the punctuation is not going to be good. Because they put all of the buttons in different spots here. Because they puncuate a little differently. So don´t worry about it. But anyway, it has already been a week it is crazy. My how the time flies. I mean the days take forever. Because all we do is walk and get rejected all day. But ya know that´s how it goes. But I am just staying positive and everything will work out eventually. It is a brand new area for both of us as I think I have told you already, and it wasn´t worked in last transfer. So we didn´t have anything to work on. It is just everything that we find, or the members help us with. They members are very good. They all take very good care of us, they feed us lunch everyday. So really I don´t have to buy groceries or anything like that. I buy juice and other things to drink and I tried the milk, bleh, it is gross. I am guessing the taste is that of russia. Because it is the same process. Just a cardboard box on the shelf that lasts for years. So it doesn´t taste good. But when I get desperate for some cereal, I have to suffer through trying to eat it. But it´s all good.

My companion, well let´s just say he is one of those kids.. It is a very interesting thing. But we are working hard so that is all that matters. I mean everyone is weird in their own ways, just some have a few more fuzzy channels than others. But no it´s good. I mean you have to have the weird experiences to recognize the good ones.

But the zone leaders that live in the same house as us are very fun. I talk to them once we are done planning and everything. Because my comp is a district leader and has to verify with the hermanas in our district. And when the zone leaders don´t have anything I play with them. But this week, we decided that we would just put our beds in the same room. Because one of the rooms is huge and the other is tiny. So we put our bunk bed in with their beds, and then our suitcases and everything in the room we were in.  It is a much better plan, and I like it. Because at night I get to practice my spanish. Because both of the zone leaders are natives. So it is helping me to get better at the language. And I can understand most things people say, until they ask me a question and then I am screwed. Because I am usually like five sentences behind figuring out what they are saying. So I don´t realize I am being asked a question until it goes silent and everybody is looking at me. So that is hard, but I mean I am understanding little by little. So that is all that matters.

I haven´t fallen asleep outside of the apartment yet. Haha but the other day my companion was reading something and I was out. I remember him looking something up to read and the next thing I know he was done and patting me on the back to wake up. Ya it was a tiring day. But ya it is fun not being able to understand people. I just smile and have a good old time.

My comp is a space cadet. He confused two of our investigators yesterday, and I had no way of telling him that it was not who he thought it was. And he always is so sure that we should go one direction when the actual direction is the exact opposite of what he thinks always. So it is fun keeping him straight. But ya know it´s all good. But I am getting into things now I think so that is good. Just have to get the language down. Which is just going to take time and practice.

So this past week we have had days of summer and winter. It is very weird. Because the first two days of the week were in the 80s- 90s and then wednesday it went down to like 30 and raining. ok maybe not 30, but it was pretty cold. I wore both jackets and my gloves because it was freezing to me. Oh and a ton of wind. And then the past two days have been back up into the 80s or so. So spring here is just a combination of summer and winter in the same week. So my jackets work great. Thanks Ben. Everyone is jealous because they all have undertaker jackets. hahaha I think ben would know that one. The guy from wwf always wears that black trench coat, and that is just what I think of everytime I see the ones other missionaries wear. But some have cool wool ones. I would have liked to have my wool one, but it would have not made the weight limit if I had it in my bag, so I will just keep my eye out for one here. But ya so far, I haven´t needed anything.

The only thing I haven´t seen in the stores that I might need is the clinical deoderant. Other than that, things are mostly similar. Except for the nasty milk. I like the juice, I think it is similar to that apple stuff we had in russia. Now that I think about it, the more places we go, it feels more and more like Russia. Except for being in a city. We come to the main city for p-day because we have zone activities sometimes. Because that is where the stake center is. But other than that, I am in the country kind of.

I will take more pictures, but this place we are emailing doesn´t have the hook ups that the one we usually go to. So I can´t send any pictures today. So next week I will try. The fruit is good down here. But in all reality everything everyone said is not true. The food is good, but nothing special. We get casseroles and stuff like that. I mean it is good because we don´t have to cook, but it´s not like I will miss it when I am gone. And the fruit is just apples oranges and bananas... so I don´t know what everyone was talking about.

But other than that everything is going good. A funny thing I miss is cars. Because everything is natural gas down here. So they are all tiny cars, like you would see in Europe. Everyone has the same thing, so you don´t see a variety or anything nice. There was a newer hundai that was shiny black. So not really that nice of a car. Something you would see everyday at home, but all of the other elders were like oh wow, look at that car! haha it is just funny.

But thank you all for the support. Sorry if I didn´t answer anything I will try to next week. If you

don´t think you have told me something or you think you might double it, just do it again. Because I would rather hear it twice than not at all so just write it again.

I love you all and hope that all is well at home! I am doing well don´t worry about me.

Love,
Elder Wheeler
