20 years old!!

Hey Fam,

So as usual something came up and so I don´t have a ton of time to write. But that´s okay because saturday will be p day again and that is not too far off at all. So first thank you all for the birthday wishes. It was great to hear from all of you. I had a great birthday. Hermana Ence asked me when I wanted lunch. She was going to do it in the office. But then I asked her if we could do it on Sunday. She had no problem with that and so I got to go over there for lunch. She invited all of the office Elders and the sister missionaries that are in this ward to come as well. It was really fun. We just went and we got there early so we helped her cook the rest of the stuff. And then we just got to eat really good food. It is not too often that you get real food. I mean not that there is anything wrong with the food here, but it gets old. Especially when you can´t get a hold of a lot of stuff. So it was really good to just go and be able to relax a bit and have some good food and be with all my buds. 

Later when I got out of the shower there was a giant candy card on my bed. Ya know the one where you make a story with the names of the candy. It was really cool. I took some pics with it, but don´t have them with me to share them. So then that night when we got back to the apartment all of the zone leaders were there for their meeting the next day and so they had organized it so when I came in that they would sing happy birthday. It was quite loud with like thirty people singing to you. And even more awkward just having to stand there. But it was really a fun day. I am glad I got to do it here with all of the office elders because in other areas there are only two of you maybe four tops. But here there were a bunch of people and it just made it that much better. I can´t believe that I am already twenty. My how time flies. 

So you guys were asking how much longer I will be in the offices. Well I don´t really know. I mean I have atleast 6 more weeks maybe twelve. Transfers are this next week so I won´t know for sure if I am training someone here or if I will have another transfer alone. I was talking with President the other day and just told him that I was fine with it either way. And it sounded like I would be staying another transfer by myself. But like my first transfer I had no idea what was going on so I don´t know what is going to happen. But probably for a little bit longer I would imagine.

 

I am still liking it. I mean when I get to get out and be a missionary at the time that we are supposed to it is great. I love being able to be out with the people and do the work that I have been called to do. It is so fun and I need the language practice, because being here I feel like I have lost some of it. Because unfortunately we always speak in English in the offices. Because before I was only speaking in spanish with everyone because I lived with only people that spoke spanish apart from my companion. So I feel like I have lost a little bit of that practice, and it makes it hard. But I was talking with President and he was saying he wanted people to be talking in spanish in the offices anyway so that is what I have been trying to do. 

I am just loving life right now. I mean there are just as many bad times as there are good, but the good ones far outweigh anything that the bad ones are. And looking back I really only remember the good times. It is an interesting concept of how the memory works, but also a good one. 

Anyway I got my package on tuesday. I didn´t know it was supposed to be a birthday package or I would have waited. But I love my old lady cardigan. Just kidding but I really like my cardigan. It is perfect. Exactly what I wanted! So thanks for whoever picked that out. And also all of the candies too are great. It is just always so great to get a package. It doesn´t really matter what is in them, it is just actually getting something from home that I love. So thank you for those who helped to do that. 

I love you all and I had a wonderful birthday, thank you all for the birthday wishes and I hope you celebrated good for me! Thanks for everything and I will talk to you on Saturday!

Missing food from home..

Hey Fam,

It was so good to talk to you all last week. I felt like it was too short as soon as we hung up, but I don´t think you will ever feel like it was long enough until you are sitting right next to each other. But you all look really good! I was expecting to see some changes with the house or something, but it looked about the same to me. Maybe a little movement with the furniture. But ya it was really fun to get to talk to all of you and just hear you all. I miss the family parties. I mean sometimes we didn´t learn anything, but all the times we learned how to love.- Out of the Mouths of Babes. But anyway it is just fun to do stuff with the family eventhough we didn´t do anything special apart from dinner. It made me miss food from home that was for sure seeing you cooking stuffs, but that is part of the experience no? 

I am still having a lot of fun here. I found a cool sweatshirt from the copa America which is the cup they play every two years, and then the other they play the world cup. But each team does a different jersey and something just like the world cup and so there aren´t any things left from it. But we went to this place and the lady had a couple more jackets from it, that I have been really wanting for a long time. And so I had to buy it. It was a little spendy, but not too bad, because I got a ten percent discount from her too. So that was cool and I have a jacket that I really like. Also I found a fake jersey of Godoy Cruz which is the City I am in right now that I like, for like 10 bucks so I felt like it was a good price for something that I can wear and not worry about anything happening to it. But still like it. So that was fun. We were supposed to go roller blading today, but the assistents had to go to a baptism, so we are going to go next saturday. There is a guy that is a sponsored roller blader and so he is getting a ton for us to use. I mean at home they aren´t that much money, but here they are a ton. So we are looking forward to that. 

Also next saturday we will be having a baptism of this lil´old lady that we have been teaching. She is really cool and just has the desire to be baptized. So we have been working with her and will be baptizing her on saturday if all goes right. I am really excited for that. It makes it all worth it. For anything that you have to sacrifice to help someone get to that point, as soon as they get there it makes it all worth it. I mean even if they don´t make it, for some sad reason, it still is worth it. But it makes you a lot happier when you are baptizing and seeing the work flourish. We have a ward that is not really working together, more like not working at all, so we take the few people that we can and are trying to bring new faces in so that people will want to help. But we will see if anybody feels like trying. 

So I am loving it still and hope to love it for all of my time that I have been given here. It is still an endless place of learning. As soon as you think you have something down, you get hit with ten more things that humble you back down and make you start over. But it is great, I love being on a mission. And I know it is the best spot for me to be right now in my life. I love you all and had a great time on Sunday. I hope you all did too! Thanks for everything, I love you all! Have a great week!

B-ball for Pday!

Hey Fam,

So How the het are ya? As I have told most of you today was a noteworthy p-day because I got to play b ball after all. I mean the court was a cracked cement one and the rims are at like 8 ft. But finally I got to actually play so I was pretty happy. I haven´t played forever, but it was good to get to go run some energy off, because I feel like sometimes I just get trapped in this office and don´t get to release any energy. Because when we go out in the afternoon we just have to run to our appointments and so it just feels like it has been a really long time and I enjoyed it a lot. 

So we are trying to figure out the time for skype and everything. I would imagine it would be in the afternoon here. Because we get out of church around 1 and so we would be back at the offices by around 2 which would be 11 or so right there? So when do you guys get out of church and could all of you be there. Because after that I would be ready. I can wait til later if you need more time because I don´t imagine you being home from church at that time, so just let me know at what time we could do it. But we should set up a time next saturday to check to see if it all works. So that we can be ready for sunday. Because the other Elders are doing it today but I didn´t know that you could check like that. So I was thinking about like noon or one for you guys because that would be 3 or 4 for me. So you are going to have to have something hooked up for that time next week so that we can make sure that everything is working. So if you could figure that out and tell me during the week sometime so that I can be ready to do it on saturday and we can figure all of the details out.

I guess I don´t really know when you guys have church right now so you will have to tell me all of those details so that we can figure out the time. We have started doing p90X every other day now. Elder Dugger who is the kid that is replacing my companion and I started this past week. So we do the Ab ripper X every other day. It is a good workout. I mean it hurts so much but I can tell it is working. So that is great. I mean I have to work out every morning anyway. And having someone to do it with and have some fun with it makes it a lot easier to stick with it. And then the other days we are going to run over to the offices and play some basketball. Because Elder Baker one of the assistents played college ball and so we have fun playing. And he wants to play all the time too so we are going to do it. I just wish I wouldn´t have sent home my shoes, because it hurts to play in my diesels because they have no support whatsoever. So that stinks but anyway it doesn´t matter because I get to play and get a workout at the same time. 

Unfortunately that is the most out of the ordinary thing happening right now. I mean there isn´t much else to tell because I feel like I have already told you all the same things over and over again. So I won´t. So today p-day is getting cut a little short because we have an appointment with an investigator who is going to teach us how to make facturas. Which are the pastries that everyone eats down here. So that will be super fun to learn how to do. I will have to let you know how it turns out. Maybe I can take my camera and get some pics. But ya that is why this letter is going to be so short, because I didn´t have enough time to think of stuff to write about, and I have to leave pretty quick here. So ya I will have to make this a short one, but we will be talking in only a week again and this time face to face. I love you all and thank you for the support that you each give me. P.S. Mom the packages take four or five weeks to get here from what I can tell. I mean they all vary but about four weeks on average to get here.
